About Matt and Becky
Lifelong residents of the CSRA, Matt and his wife Becky grew up in Hephzibah, Georgia. During his childhood summers, Matt diligently mowed the large acreage of his family property with a Craftsman lawn tractor and tackled neighborhood lawns in South Augusta with a Murray 21-inch mower and a Homelite weedeater.
After high school, Matt worked as a rail car repair mechanic at Hamburg in North Augusta, SC. However, during the recession of 2009, he was laid off and decided to acquire a CDL license, which led him to drive for AB Beverage Company in Evans, GA, and later for Sysco Food Services. With over 20 years in the blue-collar industry, Matt ultimately chose, with the support of his wife and children, to turn his passion for lawn and landscape work from a side job into a full-time career, aiming to provide job opportunities in his community.
While lawn and landscape is Matt's professional passion, his true devotion lies in his faith and growing his relationship with Christ, as well as instilling Christian values in his three children. Sunday mornings often find him at Stevens Creek Church in Augusta or visiting other local churches in the area. During the fall and winter, he enjoys deer or duck hunting in the woods or cheering for his Dawgs in Athens, GA.
Matt takes great pride in being a hardworking family man who cherishes his country and its founding principles. He holds deep respect for the military and law enforcement officers and enjoys living the American dream as a down-to-earth country boy.
